“Photography is twice the Poetry”
Hello, My name is Lokendra, studying in Sweden, from Nepal. When I was 9 years old my father sent me to the district headquarters of far-western Nepal under the care of one helper.
At that age I saw mountains, frozen tap water, wild animals and almost touched the altitude of highest mountain of Europe Mont Blanc. I have memories not those pictures now.
I think whatever you see, you cannot show to others, but with photography somewhat we can.
I heard the lines at top of my essay at art exhibition in Kathmandu from foreign photographer. That line originally by RabindraNath Tagore got struck in my head and I was inclined to photography world.
I want to express through my photography and compose the beauty. Probably this may not be my job for living but I want to learn and be photographer all my life. At the age of 75 Michaelangello said 'Yet I am learning'. I don't have any pre-education of photography but I want to learn photography because the moments cannot be recreated. I am raw and can be mould to any shape. I haven't won anything great in my life, If I am selected it will be the moment of my life.
Looking forward to work with you
