Living in the traditional past in the modern digital age

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Nepal | Tuesday, July 2, 2013 | 5 photos

A photo describes more than thousand words inspires me very much. I worked as a journalist for different organisations after completing my degree in English and journalism, now I work as an educationalist.

Reflecting the reality of society specially the underprivileged population is my passion since my childhood. I feel their difficulties, drudgeries and grievances clearly like seeing the reflection in the mirror. Having been born, lived and experienced the difficulties of people living in remote rural areas, I want to contribute something for those in need and nature. For this, I found photography to be more effective, more powerful and more communicative compared to other media.

Photography also has the strongest power to reflect society, culture, nature and everything around us in our planet. I want to reflect the realities, present real pictures and create conducive creative environment to disseminate environmental awareness around the globe. Nature is mother so I want to promote, protect and preserve nature and people through photos and words. This travel photography scholarship will be a milestone for me to step into that journey.
