I am a 26 year old woman, from Calcutta, India,currently working as an independent documentary film maker and a writer,after studying literature and film making.I have been a solo traveler throughout my life. I have travelled voraciously in India to touch the throb of my country. I visited Pakistan,Italy,Russia,Kenya,Uganda as a peace ambassador and documentary filming.Travelling experience makes me stronger to cultivate the resonance of nature. I find stories in human life and recluse in the wilderness.Being a woman has made me earnest to cross any drifts. I have a strong sense of graphic mixed with my narrative sensibility which helps me to capture beyond. I am ready to jump, climb,innovate, shoot and bring out the goodness of nature through my medium which is photography. Working with Jason Edwards and National Geographic team will be an enriching journey. Erik the Red named this barren cold world’s largest island Greenland, hoping a new beginning. With a ‘Green’ associated with the name I am also hoping…The series of 5 photos that I have selected tells the story of harmony and coexistence in the wilderness. It’s a kind of a cardinal quest that if wilderness can why can’t man?
