My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, October 9, 2011 | 5 photos

Born on July 03, 1968, I, Bhupesh C. Little, am an amateur photographer with an earnest desire to learn, coming from a background in Fine Arts. I did my Ph D from Kumaon University in Drawing & Painting. But my liking for photography developed in Lucknow University in 1987.
My interests are varied. “The God’s creations are so very varied and so interesting, I find beauty in almost everything, an insect, a bird, an animal, landscape or an abstract pattern, I wish to explore maximum possible?” Nature fascinates me the most and I can keep myself in the company of nature for weeks and months.
Friends get bugged with my attitude of getting up at 4am for trekking to heights in freezing cold and keep working without eating, but that is how I work. Tirelessly until satisfied. Experts from National Geographics do work tirelessly for months sometimes for years just to get the perfect document of the subject; it is this dedication what I wish to experience personally.
I believe, “An art, like photography, is a continuous learning process and one can learn throughout life, if one is ready to learn”. Working with experts will give me opportunity to learn what it takes to produce masterpieces like those seen on NG. It will also be an opportunity to learn how to cover a story differently from others.
It remains a dream for me to be associated with any of the top nature societies like NG. Given an opportunity I may be able to learn from experts and on my return may contribute by teaching my students, what I learn. Presently I am working as an Astt. Prof. in Applied Arts and one of my subjects of teaching is photography.
