At night, the foreshore turns into a skate park populated by youth
I'm a bit of nerd, who loves science and over analyses thing way too much. I work as a research scientist full-time, and unfortunately these days, spend too much of my time doing bureaucratic paperwork, instead of real science. I'm quite a nervous little thing at times and you could say I suffer from a bit of anxiety and possibly OCD. However, when I look through the view finder of a camera, I don't over analyse, I don't worry, and I'm not sure how you put into words what it is like, but I'll try - I simply feel. I want to use the camera to capture and take a photo that conveys what I see in my head when I look through the view finder - whether that be the grittiness and sense of needing to cleanse after walking down a street lined with human waste or the happy ditty playing in my head, when you see the sun shine on a fruit orchard, knowing that the sun's energy is being converted into sweet, sweet sugar that we will one day consume. This is why I want the scholarship, to help me do this. Oh and because my technical skills are crap. I haven't taken any phototography classes - I know the absolute basics and that is it.
