My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Amelinda and I hail from the sun-drenched city of Brisbane, Australia. To me, photographs are the product of magic and I believe that every one is a tiny slice of the universe.
It is therefore understandable that I consider National Geographic photographers to be magicians. Their photographs inspire and emotionally motivate me. They encourage me to challenge myself and make me yearn for adventure. To me, writing and photographing for National Geographic, one of the greatest organisations on earth, would be the most wonderful job in the world.
These are my reasons for entering this competition. I am 19 years old and only halfway through completing a degree in journalism. I am young and inexperienced and have only ever travelled recreationally. However, this makes my desire for this scholarship all the stronger. I have everything in the world to learn about photography and the enthusiasm and patience to do it. I would be thrilled to learn any and every bit of advice Mr. Edwards' is willing to share, particularly with regards to photographing people and movement. Finally, despite my limited knowledge of Oman I would be honored to explore and photograph everything I can.
