The Vibrant Colours of Life

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 4 photos

Hi! I hope you’ve enjoyed my photos =)! I believe that my photos should be chosen to participate in this amazing photo and travel opportunity as I am an individual who thrives on the experience of diverse cultures, flavors, surroundings, people, and the vibrant colors of life itself in all shapes, sizes and forms. To enable myself to share these experiences, with friends and family, I’m highly enthusiastic to go to all extremes to capture these sensations experienced and instill them into timeless snapshots to my best ability through my photography to demonstrate my appreciation for these moments.

Briefing on my submission:
- I lay along the soiled and rugged grounds of our local gardens in (IMG_4.JPG) to capture the life story of flowers during the season of autumn; where they begin with its beauty in bloom, then retaining its serenity and peacefulness even after their leaves start to brown and fall; whereby the petals follow afterward with grace to re-enlighten the colorless autumn leaves that dominate the gardens soils.
- (IMG_3.JPG) was taken at 6am in the morning on a weekend away in the outback. The early fog begins to fade as the sunrise peacefully glows and yet intensifies in its warmth to embrace the chilly ambiance of the morning frost which was dispersed across the farm. I tried to capture the warmth to bring out the affectionate feeling towards a fresh start to a new day.
- Because the rocks were uneven, I was unable to setup my tripod for (IMG_1.JPG); however, it was my simple attempt to capture the allures of Mother Nature; the rich greenery of the rainforest, the dampness of the grounds and the ever flowing streams of the Leura Cascades that will continue to prosper everlastingly, i.e. Mother Nature will retain her beauty in all forms.
- Finally, (IMG_2) is one of my favourite takes on the lights of the night, i.e. the moon light and street lights along the highway which are reflective through the stillness of the lake. I tried to capture one sensation with this image and that is to look at it in an inspiring awe for the beauty and calmness of this particular evening.

Although my photos have yet to improve through more practice and learning; I’m willing to take on any challenge to further enhance my skills to share the priceless experiences and the beauty of life that the world has to offer through photos with friends, family and everyone to enjoy!
