Yesterday ,was a great day filled with blessings that brought tears of joy:) Our female teachers surprised me at the hotel with a Lao feast they cooked themselves.Because they used prawns, coconut, and pineapple it was an expensive meal for them to prepare but in Lao, people are very hospitable, kind, and generous.
Building relationships here is the key to sharing the Truth, really, it is the only way because trust has to be earned before even a friendship is made. Then building the relationship begins. It has been 5 trips to Laos for me which have been fruitful but if I would have stopped after my first visit not much would have been accomplished. So, my journey continues each year by planting seeds, watering them, pulling weeds, watching them grow and blossom, helping them when they wilt, sprinkle them with fertilizer and ask from above for lots of sunshine for the fruit to grow for picking:) This is our Daddy's work here in this small , mostly forgotten city except by nomads trekking here and fro.
After classes last night, one of the university girls came to me with a question about a facebook inquiry she received from an acquaintance from the Philippines. The acquaintance was asking if she could pray for her because she knew the customs were visiting the temples to bow to Buddha. My Lao girl said, "I do not know what this word pray means," can you help me understand? I had asked our Father for such a time to come during this visit not knowing it would come so soon. To be honest, I was taken by surprise but our Father stepped right in and gave her the answers she seeked along with a sample prayer(so she thought) using her name and calling upon HIS NAME!!Praise be to Daddy! Glory to his name. She had wonder in her eyes wanting to ask for more but the cleaning lady interrupted us so she could take over the room. Please, keep her in your thoughts.
Also, I have a couple of young inquisitive monks in my classes who ask me a lot of questions. They stare at me through out the lessons as if they have a glimpse of something interesting. Sometimes, I feel as if they are reaching into my very soul trying to figure out what I am all about. Please, keep these young men who have been monks since the age of 7, now 16 & 17, near to your heart in deep thought.
So, today I am off to our village school with the headmaster of our city school. So excited because it was only in the works during my last visit. We need safe travels and no truck repair issues. Please remember these request when you are able.
Tonight will be classes as usual. Just remembered about a little girl who I am doctoring. She has a serious ailment on her arm. I am seeking from above a miracle that will again lead to questions from her and her mother. Help me with this please.
This is all for now.
Blessings
Well, yesterday was an extremely hot day but as you see, I survived. After, 3 showers and a good night's rest I am refreshed to begin another day.
