My Scholarship entry - On the brink

United Kingdom | Monday, November 24, 2014 | 4 photos

Dear Jason, I have had a passion for photography and wildlife for as long as I can remember and I am very fortunate with my job that I can merge the two. I am a zoo keeper and have my compact camera on me every day to capture those amazing moments to bring out an animals personality, emotions and thoughts. I have always had a strong passion to conserve wildlife and their habitats and really feel that I can play a part in this through my photography. I aim to use my photography to educate people about endangered species and their habitats. If I can make someone stop to look at my photography or read the description next to it to learn something new about that species/habitat, or take it one step further and want to find out a way to help that species/habitat through the use of my photography I feel that I have achieved something. My whole life belongs to the animals I care for and their part they play in International breeding programmes to conserve their species. I am physically fit and willing to take on new challenges and problem slove, this opportunity would be amazing to learn new skills and be given an amazing habitat to photograph in to develop myself.
