The Viking Way

Getting to the mysterious location afar

NORWAY | Wednesday, 27 June 2007 | Views [482] | Comments [1]

After a long and hectic journey via Asia to get to the far foreign scandinavian land of Norway, i finally arrived to my final destination. My first thoughts when flying into Oslo airport, was that i was entering a land of fairy tales. The picture perfect scenery was as if it had jumped straight out of the fairy tale of "Little Red RIding Hood" and "The Three Bears". The green forest lands that surrounded the mill pond looking fiords, were stunning. I kept expecting to see little red riding hood skipping through the forest with her little red cape flapping in the wind. Ok so i think you get the picture now haha.

After arriving to the big metropolis of Oslo city, and after recovering from the fabulous thing called jet lag, it was time to see more of the country. More to come soon

Hey Lib,

I went to Oslo recently too and had exactly the same experience. It's even more fairy-tale like after you've been on a plane for 28 hours and seen nothing but horrid, cramped plane interiors and plastic food. Oslo airport was such a delight to arrive at... and it smelled like popcorn too. :-D
