My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Venezuela | Saturday, October 16, 2010 | 4 photos
When seeing a special photo, some people are able to experience a spark of consciousness that let them reflect a little bit on some life's aspects. This spark is not anything but a strong intuitive sense of empathy and interconnection that let us understand and respect to each others.
Whenever I have the privilege to take photos I'll try to learn the technique and develop the sensitivity needed to capture images valuable to these people.
Strive to obtain such images is a way for me to contribute to the art of photography.
Pictures from Mérida, Venezuela.
Hawker with live hens: Mérida is marked by the Universidad de Los Andes one of the most important universities in the country. In a sense is cosmopolitan, but for being surrounded by mountains, show evident rural traditions. This is in fact a conflictive situation with deep social consequences.
Cyclists’ Circle: The city is a tourist destination for many people, the practice of outdoors sports and festivals keep the pulse of our city. In carnival guilds gather and parade through the city... even mountain bikers.
Parapente's flight: One of the most attractive activities. Sadly the pollution of the air is certainly not the main concern of city authorities. Wires belonging to the trolley bus a project that has more than two years practically stopped.
El barrio: Is not a big city, but it is starting to face some of the problems of the big ones in the country.
Why should I go on this trip? Because I am willing and ready to learn what you want to teach me. Thank you _||_
