Studying black and white film photography in Photo One class in High School first sparked my passion for the medium. I learned composition, aperture, and shutter speed before I picked up a camera. Shooting film provides a limited number of exposures, so patience and a trained eye are key before pressing that shutter. This shooting style remained when I began working in digital photography.

By the the end of my junior year, I had taken every photo course my college offered. In my final semester, I went on a school photo trip to Iceland, which opened my eyes to Travel Photography. I'd never traveled specifically to take photos, and now it’s all I want to do. What could be better than exploring and photographing all day long?

I am also passionate about Improv comedy. While abroad my sense of humor and willingness to take risks were great resources. I found great photo opps due to my ability to think on my feet and adapt to foreign environments, which led to friendships with people who could open those doors.

Though I have graduated, I have more to learn about photography. Getting to work one on one with such an amazing artist, as Jason, would be truly incredible.
