"The Curious Woman" --- When we were leaving the Hmong village to return to Vientiane, this old woman was sitting on the ledge looking out at the mountains. The woman also had her farming tools with her so I assume that she just finished farming in the field and was taking a break. She then proceeded to ask us where we were from since we didn't look or act local. After we told her that we were from America, she began to comment with a fascinated smile, "It must be nice to live in America." In my mind, I was thinking, "It must be nice to wake up to the mountains everyday."
