Devotees offer flowers inside the Temple. Flowers are offered for their beauty but the withering of flowers is a reminder that nothing is permanent as per the teachings of the Buddha.

A young devotee burns incense at the Temple. The burning of incense is said to be a symbol of good morality and the cultivation of good moral conduct.

A devotee lights a lamp at the Temple. Light is said to be a symbol of wisdom. The lighting of lamps is said to generate wisdom and dispel the darkness of ignorance.
