My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

A long as I can remember I have loved documenting everything around me. Whether it be photos or video, I just had to do it. I love collecting moments, for they are rare and only last a second. I don't want to miss or forget any of them. This is mostly because I am going blind due to a degnerative eye disease called keratoconus. In 2010 I attended Canada's Premier Music Festival called Shambhala. Instantly I fell in love. I never knew people could be so beautiful. There I learned how the universe is really arranged. Documentning my first time there I had no way to hide my camera, so I went with my gear on my back and the appetite for life. This consisted of crossing the river on a venture, staying awake in the mountains all night until I caught all the right moments, as well as waking up very early to get the sun just right. After, I emailed my photos to them. When I sent the message I said how much I loved it, how it changed my life and how I found true happiness from it. Wether it be fate or coincidence, the following year they assembled their first media team and I was hired. Please consider me. Shooting national geographic is a life long dream. This is my life and passion.
