blowing in the wind

AUSTRALIA | Tuesday, 10 February 2009 | Views [727]

Last weekend we journeyed up to the small country town of Dongara, about 4.5 hours north of Perth, for Kitestock 2009. The wind was pumping for kitesurfing enthusiasts from across Western Australia. Pumping way too much, actually. Because of the cyclones in northern WA, the wind was blowing at a steady 35 knots all weekend. It was ridiculous. My skin has never been smoother due to the unwanted exfoliation of sand constantly whipping across my face and legs. It was all good for the kiters, though, who wore themselves out over three days.
