Erebus
In 2009, Erebus was the largest haunted attraction on the planet. But for a few weeks leading to the Halloween season, eager fear-finders give way to a local film crew to celebrate early sic-fi and b-horror movies. Welcome to Erebus... Tis a happy place.
My Scholarship entry - Erebus

My photographic journey began and continues to evolve through a passion for telling stories in pictures. Whether it was capturing battles of plastic army figures, epic landscapes or staying up all night to photograph the stars. I am, in equal parts student of the fascinating world we occupy, and artist; eager to share my vision of it.
For me, still photography did not begin immediately, but yet evolved through television and film; moving pictures that built a scene, and scenes that told a story. It was always the story that mattered. As time went on my passion deconstructed the moving image from 24 frames to 1. Photography has since stole my heart as a vehicle for story telling, and actively participating in the learning experience of taking good photographs (i.e. taking bad ones) is the most humbling and rewarding thing I’ve ever done.
The experience of traveling to Oman and learning from Jason would be life-changing. It’s a culture I’ve yet to experience or photograph. I would look forward to gaining an understanding of the people, sharing their stories, their geography and all under the same Arabian skies that contributed so much to our scientific understanding of the world.
