A woman who loves music and plays the piano. A woman who lost her husband of 50 years, Bill to the dreaded golden staph. A woman who herself, has more health problems than I’d care to list.

Colleen Johnson is a remarkable woman, contrary to what she would tell you. She is my grandma’s next door neighbour. A woman who spent her life practicing patience and compassion while teaching disabled children.

But most importantly, a woman who turns up every Tuesday for one hour to conduct and play piano for the University of the Third Age choir.
