It's deja vu for Lair and Jerry! 33 years ago we sold our house and quit our jobs in Kansas City and went on a 3-month adventure traveling around the U.S. Our itinerary had over 30 cities and towns we wanted to explore in our search for a new place to live that better fit our politics, outdoor interests, and aesthetic sense. We ended up in Seattle and raised three children there. For the past six years, we lived in India and Austria while Lair taught in American International Schools and saved a little money. Now we are ready for another exciting adventure. We cannot afford to retire in our beloved Seattle. In late August, 2013, we will embark on an 8-month adventure to explore 6 Latin American countries and hopefully find a place we love and can afford to live on Social Security pensions. It's an exciting new time for us. Come along and we'll document our findings!
