As a child, my father taught me how to fish. It's one of those childhood memories that you keep close to your heart. So when you're able to teach others and carry them into the simple adventures of your life, you appreciate those who gave you those adventures to begin with.

A place of solitude. A place where you can sit and have the water rush past you while you contemplate life - until you realize the water is carrying a million baby leaches that are now covered all over you. In the end, all you're contemplating is why you ever thought it would be a good idea. In the most unlikely places, at the most unlikely times, you'll find that adventure beckons you.

This is Chippy. He's sort of our summer pet. This is not a story of an adventure of mine, but rather the chipmunks. I believe it takes extreme bravery to trust humans to the point of pure dependence.
