Two Leaves of the Same Plant- We all are born as human and the paths we take defines who we are.. As two leaves from the same plant, some may try to find happiness in life, whilst the others will try let go of all attachments. But the solitary light source in the “Temple Hall” seems to represent 'Nirvana' which is the answer to all life’s suffering.

A Backdrop for All Eras-
From the day of Lord Buddah ‘s second Visit to Sri Lanka , The “Kelaniya Temple”, has been a cymbal of “Buddhism in Sri Lanka”. That may also be the reason for numerous destructions, which it has to withstand throughout the ages. This resilient power of being reborn has made the temple a sanctuary for paintings and sculpture from varies eras.
As the sun sets over the Stupa in the background, these 'art forms' becomes the backdrop to everyday life of the people.

From One Generation to Another-
The Faith is passed on from generation to generation, from mom to daughter. The faith is to overcome the life's hardship. As they sit on the 'Rough Sand' and pray for the Light at the end of the tunnel. A beautiful pattern is created on the 'Rough Sand' itself by the light. As if, beauty of Life is also about overcoming the challengers.
