I am a sister, a student, a mentor, an artist, a philanthropist, but above all I am a believer in the good of humanity. I have grown up learning in a Montessori environment, which takes a holistic approach to education, and have thus become inherently curious about not only my local environment, but my global surroundings. I have channeled this curiosity, in combination with creativity, to explore as many cultural enclaves as possible throuh photography and drawing. I love being able to connect to people of every cultural, racial, and socioeconomic background through the universal language of art. This has allowed me to create strong connections with people from many different backgrounds and look at the world through a more cohesive global perspective. I believe that I am an excellent candidate for this scholarship because this experience would exponentially contribute to the way in which I view the world while concurrently giving me an unparalleled learning opportunity in the field of travel photography, a field that I am extremely passionate about.
