On my 22nd birthday my partner took me out into the bush and we walked for hours. Our destination was a waterfall, but as the country is mid drought it was little more than a trickle. However disappointing this could have been, every moment with her on that trail was exciting.
I am only still learning about myself, but at every step I cannot imagine my life without attempting to capture the magic along the way. Almost every thought revolves around methods of experiencing life as enthusiastically as possible, and what possible abilities I have to capture it. Far from gimmickry, I jump at opportunities to share my own vision of my experiences, no matter the medium. Photography has remained my passion for many years, and so many of these opportunities have resulted in photographic expressions of my experiences. I would love the opportunity to learn from a professional before my ambitions take me overseas and into the world. I want to tell as many stories as I can, and as uniquely as possible.

I applied for this scholarship last year, but I know that I was nowhere near ready to take on the challenge of this unique and ideal learning experience. Now I feel prepared.
