Hello, my name is Katie! My goal in life is to share the beauty and diversity of the world. I love to create strong emotions through the art of photography. I always find a source of inspiration through my daily experiences and travels.
These photographs are very important to me because I was able to travel with a humanitarian group. I was given the amazing opportunity to document the poor health care and living conditions of children in Dominican Republic. It's very important to me and a strong passion in my heart to help the world become more aware of the sacrifices and struggles of these children.
The power and strength of these children's soles will forever be in my memory- the laughter, the cries and the thankfulness that they expressed changed my life and my photography. I have come to know that I deeply care about every subject I shoot and understand the importance of life and living everyday to the fullest!
If given this opportunity to travel with Bhutan, my life would be changed. This opportunity would help me grow in so many ways as a photographer. I want to be able to bring awareness to the world of important and beautiful things that are happening.
