My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

I don't even know from what to start...a trip to Bhutan or Scholarship from National Geographic with a master class from a world class photographer...I quess it is 'a lot of' both...Between photography and me there is a strange connection. In my opinion exactly a good shot and nothing else can depict the pure beauty of things and present it the most simple and unflattering way...and that is exactly what im trying to do when taking a picture. The environment around us is beautiful by itself, all you need is to see it..and when you see it the main task is to find the best way how to depict it on your camera. Unfortunately, its not always an easy thing and I dont always succeed. But i try, and sometimes my senses do help me and grant me a picture that makes me smile. Being a Russian citizen and growing up in Urals Im used to take pictures with not very bright sunlight and calm surrounding (evening sun or rainy day; old, therefore low Ural mountains, countless lakes and lots and lots of forests) and moving to Greece 2 months ago gave me a lot of challenges from getting used to the new environment, learning the new language and shooting in a terribly bright sun, amazingly blue sea and lack of green (Russian style) forests...If I won the scholarship and was taught by Jason Edwards it would give me a huge start in a new country as a new career and maybe there would be one person more in this world that could earn for life by actually doing what they like and not what they just have to...
For the scholarship im presenting my latest pictures made in Greece while visiting some tourist places...
