I love beauty and capturing it in various ways. I am a first generation Ukrainian collge student that immigrated here when I was just a baby. My parents have spent the last eighteen years of my life trying to make a new life that is better for my sisters and I. I have always had a passion for art but never thought i was good at it. I love art. Painting is my favorite although I don't paint traditional things. I am more abstract in that sense. When I picked up a camera for the first time I fell in love with photography. I feel as though I see the beauty in some things that other do not see. I want to show people what I see. I have always wanted to travel and capture pictures of the most amazing places in the world but have never had the opportunity due to not being able to afford it. I had recently went to Victoria in B.C. and found the most amazing places. You can see some of the beauty in the pictures that I have submitted. I was blown away at how beautiful this beach was on a cloudy day. When I saw the beach fort built out of wood I was blown away. I wanted to know the story behind it, whether someone lived there during the nights or whether someone just built it for fun. The picture of the I Love You painted on the wood log blew me away and warmed my heart. Something as simple as painting I love you sent so many emotions through me. The picture of the man standing on the beach conveyed to me that everything was alright and well in life just in that simple shot. The seaweed on the beach coming out of the water shows such beauty to me. Like everything has its own amazing place in this world and everything is beautiful. I hope you can see the beauty in Love & Shelter just like I did. Thanks for considering my application.
