My name is Christopher Woo, an ameture photographer that was born in Hong Kong and was grown up in Toronto, Canada. I started to develop my interest in photography since 2008, after receiving my first prosumer camera from my dad. In 2010, I purchased an old film camera and manual lenses for my personal interests and they helped me to understand the concept to think prior pressing the shutter release. As I saw the travel photography scholarship 2012, I decided to enter this competition and would be much appreciated to receive a mentorship from world class leading photographers. This would be a great opportunity to not just receive lessons in controled environment, but situtations where there will be no second chances. In addition, I would also love to learn more about the limitation of wildlife photography and further enhance my techniques to become capable to press the shutter when the precious moments will come in front of me. These potential lessons would completely fit my goal to become a function and travel photographer in the future and I really hope that I will be able to be selected for this precious journey.
