First day in Delhi, India

INDIA | Tuesday, 27 August 2013 | Views [289]

It's 5:24 am and I've arrived in the heart of Delhi, India. Its my first time here, so far so good. The airport is brand new, looks like its been recently renovated. I was not questioned at all in immigration, stamped quickly, took my backpack and exchanged money, the American dollar is worth 59.7 rupees. Not bad, I took a SIM card for India, paid about 500 rupees, it was simple, they took my name and hotel details, also it was important to know mfy fathers name, a bit weird but what's the rules I guess. I walked out, the time was about 4:30 am, the city is still dark, the moon is far from the city lights, the weather is humid and hot. i found my driver, he was standing with a board with my full name. I forget his name but he was very nice, he sent for the car and we took off ninth the city, even at 5 am, there is traffic, sort of prenvied of the days endless car wrecks here. He drove like a maniac, I tried to fasten my seat belt but the belt was broken, I just hoped For the best. Now I'm here in the lobby.it's too early for checking so I have to wait a fewhours here by myself. So far, so good.
