My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Senegal | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos

My name is Kodjo Adanledji. I am an electronic engineer. I currently live in Switzerland but I am originally from Togo. Like all those who participate in this competition, I am passionate about photography.
I discovered photography a short time ago. I bought my first proconsumer camera late 2012. Since then, I do not separate from it any more.

With this camera, I had the chance to go back to Africa. I volunteer with two different development NGOs.
From there came to me the confirmation that I may have enough talent to be able to pretend to live one day of photography.

Photography is essentially a mean for me to connect to people. Having a camera in ones hand give this opportunity not just to take people picture but to talk to and to know them . I like the way pictures speak louder than words, the power of the emotion they can convey.
I want to be a photograph to bring people along on a journey, to make awarness of subject I care about.

As someone who never take any class of photography, the road of my new carreer pass through training such as that National Geographic offers. Not only I will be really proud but also it will be a blessing and necessity to acquire experience from a real professional photographer as Jason.
