Travels with camera

I remember the time when I was a child and I used to sit before the television every evening to wait impatiently for the stories of Moominvalley. Now, after more than ten years I decided to come back to this story, but seeing it from unusuall way. I had opportunity to personally visit Finland, the country of Tove Jansson and "The Moomins".
I must admit, that it's amazing feeling, after so many years walk through the city and almost on every corner meet with your favourite character staying inside shop window. Indeed, there are plenty of them: Moomins mascots, postcards, pens, mugs and another souvenirs. You can buy there almost everything with their image there.
But Finland is not only a country of these trolls. Every child knows, that there lives Santa Claus with his assistants (elves, reindeers and so on). And of course here is the gift’s factory located! Is anything more exciting than catching Santa Clous somewhere on the street?
Finland is a cold country but with amazing, warm atmosphere. Where else you can hug a reindeer during your walk…and after hugging eat it as an appetite for a dinner? It's impossible to meet with such dishes in Polish cuisine (the bear soup isn’t known as well), but I had an opportunity to taste meal form such a menu Lappish restaurant “SAAGA”. And to be honest, although it sounds cruel, it was one of the most interesting cuisine - experiences i've ever had.
What about general view on Helsinki? I must say that a lot of our perception depends on the weather. In the beginning of the day, when it was cold but sunny, the city was beautiful – full of sunshine, verdure and warmth. However when beautiful colorful autumn’s morning changed in rainy, dark and wet afternoon the sight-seeing wasn’t so pleasant and a lot of venues and views lost their attractiveness.
It's a shame that I've spent there just one day, but I hope that after some time I'll renew my advanture with all this fairy characters and come to see this city on sunny, pleasant day to find out all of it's mysteries.
