My dream job is to be a travel journalist and photographer. I am from Malaysia but currently living in Australia. I am able to speak in multiple languages. My main language is English, followed by Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese. I am a 3rd year student at Victoria University Melbourne studying Bachelors of Communication Arts majoring in journalism and digital media. Photography has always been my passion. I am currently using a Canon DSLR D600 with standard lens. In my opinion, photography is about capturing moments and expressing an idea and intention through an image. Every photograph taken stops time which therefore becomes a visual memory. I have a passion towards travelling and learning different culture and customs of different societies. I am also able to use my broad range of skills to adapt and learn in this rare opportunity that is offered.This scholarship will benefit me in kick-starting my travel photography and journalism career and definitely help me learn and understand new skills. Lastly, having really good communication skills, I am able to provide and receive feedback, and that to me is one of the most important skills to have working in a team.
