Beautiful relaxing day on Caye Caulker. Cinnamon bread and homemade coffee through a strainer for breakky. Bit of guitar and chilling then down to the split to lay our towel and sarong on the concrete jetty for a day of lazing in the sun and jumping into the aqua waters of the Caribbean. Turned a few pages. Shrimp and chicken kebabs for lunch. A couple of beers late in the day. Made for a great day on the island.
Visited the pharmacy to try and get an opinion on Paul's ailments. His glands have been up and he's had something wierd going on with his guts, a lot of pain when he swallows and heartburn, as well as a bit of back pain. It didn't seem like a normal flu or anything. When I mentioned that I still have dodgy guts, the lady laughed and said we are probably still both carrying some kind of amoeba! Doh. So, we got loaded up with heaps of anti-amoeba drugs again, and within hours Paul was feeling better and I could feel a war being raged inside my stomach. Fingers crossed this knocks the little buggers on the head!
Definitely having a cheap eat tonight - we must get back onto our backpackers budget!!
