A Galaxi in Janaki

South Africa, Tafelberg (Cape Town)

SOUTH AFRICA | Tuesday, 12 May 2015 | Views [151] | Scholarship Entry

How the hell do geckos get up here?

You would not believe the diversity that exists on such a strange and ancient table mountain. The waters that girdle this place have fed our species since perhaps the earliest days of our universal dance...

In the distance in the soccer stadium that served as the 2010 hub of the great game we call football; a game that brings us together. The goal that was scored there by Souther Africa was the first of its kind in African history. You could say worldwide celebrations were close to culturally orgasmic.

From the peak of this strange creature the curvature of Earth is noticeable to small human eyes.

Yet within the cranium lies the hopes of the forgotten past as well as the uncertain, unknown future.

Where to next, humanity. Where to next.
