About kimlegaspi

Kimberly Legaspi is a freelance filmmaker and producer who is fresh out of her post-graduate degree in Motion Picture Production at the Asia Pacific Film Institute in Manila. This year alone, she has written and directed two short films: Reverie and Mithi (Fervent Wish). Legaspi also served as the Script Continuity Supervisor for the critically-acclaimed film Apparition, an official entry to the Cinemalaya Film Festival in Manila which depicted the struggles of cloistered nuns during the wake of the Martial Law era. In 2011, she directed the music video of the single Rachel by budding alternative rock band Indios and won Best Music Video Award in Ateneo Video Open 13. In 2006, she showed promise as a filmmaker after bagging the Best Short Film in the Catholic Mass Media Awards for her work in the film Hamburger. Legaspi also won the Best Landscape/Cityscape and Best in Overall for getting the highest scores in all categories combined in Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation. Before focusing on film, Legaspi got her hands full as a segment producer for CBN Asia from 2006 to 2011 which airs in GMA News TV. She produced and wrote testimonies of everyday people with stories of hope and faith.  Aside from writing and directing stories, she also did documentaries, feature stories and hard news. In year 2008, her efforts were recognized when she was given Employee of the Year Award. Legaspi managed to be an on-cam reporter, director, writer, editor and voice dubber.
