From the moment I held a camera in my hands I knew photography was going to be my life. Before I came across photography I had no direction or goals in life and that's what makes me different from everyone else. A camera literally saved my life and my goal is to change others lives through my photography.
I am self taught and my passion and will to learn new things has kept me going. I am constantly refining my skills to improve my photography.
I want to be remembered for my photography and would like people in the future to think of me as someone who made a difference in their lives through my images. My ultimate goal is for my images to talk to people!
I am a friendly outgoing person who loves meeting new people and learning new things and love discovering the world through my lens.
Winning this competition would give me one of the best experiences that could ever happen to me, especially as I have a huge passion and love for wildlife. Having an opportunity to go to Kruger with Jason Edwards would give me an amazing platform to work from in order to achieve my goal of being a photographer who makes a difference!
My series of photographs titled : A day in the life of an African Trader, where taken in an African Market in Durban, South Africa. This series shows how an African community has come together to work hard at trying to pull themselves out of poverty. A quote from one of the traders was "I am glad to be living an honest life".
Photography for me is a way of witnessing moments in life which can never be repeated again!
