Journey Into North Vietnam - Generations: Faces of Sapa

Canada | Monday, November 24, 2014 | 5 photos

Having absolutely no photographic experience 2 years ago…I studied and graduated with a respect for photography and how it can motivate, educate, inspire, as well as bring forth issues from across the globe to audiences who aren’t aware. I hope to accomplish exactly that with my work. With an opportunity such as this, I would gain insight on what it is like to work on location as a professional photographer, re-learn my current photographic techniques, strengthen my story telling skills, and most importantly soak in every ounce of knowledge I can, whether that is learning from you, the locals, the wildlife or about the amazon itself.

If I’m being honest, I work a hard 32.5 hours during the week just to fund my passion. I spend all my free time learning, improving, and criticizing my photographic work. I live and breathe photography--even though my current job isn’t anywhere near my desired profession.

Above all I am a highly determined, passionate, hard working, and an athletic individual. No stranger to different cultures, people (or cuisine!)— I believe I would make the perfect candidate to shadow, assist and learn from you.

Hello Jason, my name is Kien Tran— and this is my photo essay entry for a chance in a lifetime to be mentored by you.
