My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm Kerry and 25 years old and have had the opportunity to travel from a young age. I'm currently working in the field of English teaching in Durban, South Africa where I work with the refugee community. I'm passionate about travelling and have lived out my dreams of travelling extensively as a solo backpacker throughout Mongolia and Central Asia. I've also traversed Turkey and lived abroad in Finland and The Republic of Georgia. I have a very keen interest in photography, and more specifically in travel photography. I love capturing moments from my travels in photographs and reliving them afterwards. Photography a subject I'm constantly trying to improve upon and learn more about. This competition offers the opportunity to combine my passions of photography and travel in an environment that would be conducive to practical and hands-on learning. Such an experience would be extremely enriching and valuable as well as provide me with the skills to create and capture art.
