Journey of a Lifetime

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

USA | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

For as long as I can remember, photography has always been a passion of mine. My first ever camera happened to be a Kodak compact digital camera given by my father to me just before my departure to the United States of America following a high school exchange program with emphasis in cultural exchange. I thought to myself this travel scholarship would be great because it would be chance of a lifetime to learn something I have wanted to learn but never really have the time for, nor the resource and most importantly a good mentor. I am applying for this chance to furthermore improve my shooting skills and also the art of capturing and refining captured images. I would be all ears to learn more about better photography which may change the way I actually look at photography. I really do not mind re-learning the basics even, maybe I have gotten some things wrong all this while. I think that the best way to give back to the community is as cliché as it may sound that is to inspire people through my photographs. Admittedly, I do hope I would find myself blossom into the art of professional photography and have the ability to convey emotions and ideas accurately through my photographs.
