As the helicopter rounded the mountain, we caught our first view of the Troublesome Glacier. Amazing. Click. Pristine except for the dog mushing camp. Click. Tranquility personified. Click. Our Alaskan Huskie Adventure was the ideal opportunity to combine my passion for travel, adventure and photography. Click. I love taking photos of animals as well. Click.
While I’m a creative writer, my creativity was otherwise limited, as I am, by nature, logical and analytical. But, I’m innovative and I challenge the status quo, so a few years ago I decided to do two things that were contrary to my nature–bonsai and photography.
Since that time I’ve been transformed. Wherever I go, whether its down the street or driving in the country, my mind is constantly composing pictures. Click. I love the challenge of telling a compelling story with one engaging photo. Click. Photography has become a passion; some might say, an obsession. Click. Click. Click.
As someone who loves to learn, photography provides that never-ending opportunity. The challenge to learn more about my Canon 60D, about new techniques and capture my experiences in new places, is what stimulates and invigorates me. Click.
