My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Malaysia | Monday, November 7, 2011 | 5 photos

I love traveling taking photos since my younger days. As a marketing staff, I do research and sales too. My work requires me to travel a lot. I always take the opportunity to venture the places I visit after my working hours.. Some of the places are new to me. And very often I visit rural places. They may be isolated but with my camera, I never get bore. My camera keeps me company where ever I go. I never feel lonely with my camera.
At one stage of my life, I totally stop the hobby. That is when I started my own family, having a set of twin sons and a daughter. Later as the kids grow, I took the opportunity again, to travel with the family. I begin to pick up the hobby again too. Since I'm a wage earner, my budget is quite tight. We travel within the country
and stay in a budget hotel. Luxury travel is not so important to us as long as the family is together and we get to visit other places. There are times we camp at resorts or the park just to save cost. Until today, we have traveled the whole of Peninsular Malaysia including the cities, national parks and hill resorts.
Now that we are used to tough traveling, we are able to travel as independent travelers in foreign countries as back packers.
I also travel on my own most of the time. I have never attend any photography training. I share my photos with everyone at my blog www.kbguy.com and over other social network. I also participate in Citizen Journalism Malaysia group.
I have traveled to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and India. It is the later that I wish to share with everyone on how lucky they are living in other parts of the world. It's is in India, where politics, belief, poverty and education play an important role in developing the country. I am submitting my photos taken in Kolkata.
