I currently work in a small town as an accountant with people who are wonderful but who in many ways are very similar to me. I want to see the world experiencing different places, cultures and people learning about our differences and our similarities. I want to take off the paradigm I wear from the culture I have always lived in and experience other cultures so I can differentiate between what is true and what is just my “cultural lens”. I want to see beautiful places and beautiful people, capturing these true and beautiful moments through photographs so I can share the experience with others and inspire them to see the world, allowing them to share in the wonder and amazement of life with me in a way I cannot share with words. To hold onto the moments even if my memory fails me having a photograph which has captured the emotion and life of a place to take me back & others with me to those places, people and memories.
An opportunity to work with an amazing photographer and learn how to use a camera effectively, what to look for and consider when taking a photograph would be the next step in a dream of being able to live life doing something I am passionate about and love doing.
