My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Why it should be me chosen?
I love both travels and photography. I do travel alone since I was 16. In 2009 I did backpacking in South East Asia for 4 months and I discovered what real adventure and travelling means. It’s the people, atmosphere, culture and a beauty of the visited country that is the most valuable in travels. However travelling time pass quickly. The only way to feel a little bit of atmosphere back home is a good photo.
A good quality photo requires – good frame, lighting, idea, which depends on skills, technique and an equipment of the photographer. I needed to gain the proper knowledge in this matter and that is why in 2010 I took a 2 months photography course that included both studio, an open air practices and theory lectures
Photo story
The highlight of my trip in Asia was a trek on the volcano in Lombok in Indonesia. It started in the early morning and lasted for 2 days. My group had a baggage takers who not only had tents for us but also food and all needed cooking equipment. After a 9 hours trek we reached the rim from where it was one of the most astonishing view I have ever seen . A beautiful active volcano with a surrounding lake made all pain in legs going away. A few hours later a sunset above the clouds was an icing on a cake.
I would be more than pleased to spend time in Kingdom of Bhutan with a recognizable and respectable travel photographer who could teach me the photography tricks I still don’t know and show me all pros and cons of travel photography with an extra bonus of being in a beautiful, exotic and interesting country like Kingdom of Bhutan.
