We arrived at our 5* camping ground right on the beach with a lovely swimming pool and restaurant. We settled in and walked to the beach for our first swim in the Mediterranean Sea. Unfortunately it was getting late and the temperature was cooling so we only made it in to our knees. We opted for a wine at the caravan park restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by some free entertainment, not much to write home about there though.
The next day we hit the beach after breakfast (espresso and croissant) to soak up the sun and try out the water, which was still a tad cold and very salty, we were more than happy to submerge ourselves despite this, it was amazing to be in the ocean again after the long winter in London. We then spent a few hours under our newly purchased umbrella (don't want our pale skin to fry) along with some French magazines to entertain ourselves. We spent the afternoon by the pool, a splendid, relaxing day. We finished off our day with a romantic long walk along the beach at sunset, after chocolate sundaes of course. The beach stretched for miles, there were people with fires, BBQ's and full table settings enjoying the serenity, it was amazing.
We had a great sleep in Lilly Pad - she's proving to be an amazing companion, so hospitable. In the morning we set off at a leisurely pace destined for the Pyrenees.
