My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Worldwide | Friday, October 8, 2010 | 4 photos
My submitted photos describe the start of the days until the end, i.e. dawn till dusk. Morning breeze welcomes the morning. Birds start the morning, followed by change in the color of the sky. When sun brightens, reflections also changes angles along with their intensity. The brightness of the day then dies to dull dark evening bringing the active birds from the sky to the trees.
I should be awarded the 2010 photography for scholarships because I am passionately curios about people, places and environment. I believe that visual aids are the effective means of communication and strong narrative effects through which attitude and perceptions of the people could be changed. I want to grow and work as a professional photographer and would like to be the catalyst towards positive social change. I am a teacher by profession and photography scholarships 2010 would provide opportunity to share concerns and raise issues related to social constrain due to climate change, social inequality and individual struggle.
I am born and grown up in a small most rural village in Bhutan to an illiterate family. My most significant motivation is that I could make my parents and people in my village understand through photos and I believe I have the intellectual capacity emotions to interpret the strong narration through photography. Currently, I am a PhD student at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in the field of Natural Resources Management.
