The neighborhood children come daily to hear them play, or to accompany their relatives. Some of the players seem to stand between this division, not children but not adult.

Along a certain stretch of M.G. road in Kolkata lies the marching band district. The members of these bands loiter, waiting in uniform for their next engagement.

In their festively embroidered outfits, marking with which band they play, the emotion found within their eyes can be strikingly intimate. The similarities found in the countenance of these three musicians renders age irrelevant.
