My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Nepal | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

I'm an architect and understand essentials in photography by practicing architecture for more than 15 years. Architecture is actually creating photos; what eyes capture and translate into memories and feeling of space to be called home, work, school, park and etc.

I have worked and lived in UAE for more than 6 years. I have been involved with traditional architecture of Arabia and gained a great knowledge of Arabic architecture, culture and traditions. I can feel and see the patterns and understand the important aspects of Arabia.

I have done an extensive research on Oman villages, forts, mosques, urban planning, vegetation, architecture style, building elements and materials. Hence very familiar with Oman and understand what image would be the best to reflect the country. I also have designed a 5 star mountain resort in Jebel Akhtar.

I have done lots of traveling in remote areas and have stamina for long and difficult trips with minimum facilities and not getting bothered by heat, rough roads and long days of walking.

I would do anything for a Photo; stay in the cold all night, sweat in the heat and get myself into danger to serve my passion to capture the moment.
