My name is Karalyn I am 39 years old and Iive in Vancouver BC. I have just finished a photography course through the Photography Institute where my tutor and mentor was Steven Vote a professional photographer himself. I loved this course and loved the knowledge that Steven was able to give to me. My passion for photography is deeply seeded in me as I am the one who always has the camera everywhere I go. I love photographing landscapes and animals and Africa would be AMAZING! This would be a once in a life time photographic dream! As I remember Steven telling me the best way to learn is to be hands on with a professional photograher who will take you under his wing.

The first photo I chose was taken in Ucluelet, BC - I call it "Mystic" It just inspires me and makes me feel curious as to what is behind the mist.

The 2nd photo I chose is the Sea Otter I fell in love with in Newport, Oregon he just makes me smile.
The 4th photo I chose is of the beautiful city I live in Vancouver, BC on a cool winter morning at Jericho Beach.
The 3rd photo I chose was taken in Parksville, BC at Upper Falls I love this photo because it makes me feel very relaxed and tranquil.

I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them. I would love to be the winner of this amazing once in a lifetime opportunity to help further my photography career. I am still learning about photography and can't think of a better opportunity than to learn hands on from the best. I am truly passionate about photography and will work day and night to assist and create the most outstanding photographs for the world to see. Just thinking about this opportunity gives me goosebumps to be in Africa taking photos of wild animals in there natural habitat, learning about another culture, the people, and hoping to capture the photo that brings everything to life....that photo that makes you say...Wow! That is my dream.
