In search for the elixir of life

Place : MANALAR(South India)

1.Stepping in : After travelling for 2 hours by road from my native place “Tirunelveli”, I reached a point where I could continue only by walk. This picture describes the place where I had started my search for the elixir of life. It was a different world there. I metered the light on the sign board and the trees. So the sky got washed away.

2.Ready to roll : When I saw these chopped trees on my way inside the dense forest, I started wondering who would have done it. But, the way, the chopped trees were arranged changed my mood. As my composition says, the land was steep on the left side than the right. So I imagined the trees rolling down.

3.Unfolding path : The path of my journey was rugged. At one point, I heard the sound of water flowing around me. I realized that I was nearing it. The moment I saw the stream of water flowing down on my path, I felt like being in heaven. I bent down and took it with my palms held together. When I drank it, I felt like tasting a holy drink. This picture depicts the crystal clear water and its path.

4.Destination complete, journey continues : Wondering where the water came from, I decided to follow the stream’s path. So I climbed opposite to the direction of flow. I saw a steep rock ahead and heard a jarring sound behind it. My curiosity boosted me to hike the rock faster. Alas, I saw this beautiful falls. In order to capture the mood, I composed my picture keeping the curved rock in the foreground and the falls in the background. Though my destination was completed, the water’s journey continues forever serving millions of people and other living organisms on its way.
I relish every moment of my life and I possess the vision of photography. So, I think I can make my best from the scholarship award.
