Tomorrow is the day I leave for five weeks in Thailand (for those of you who know me well enough: yes, I still have not finished packing). The excitement is building so much, I doubt I will be able to sleep. I mean, when you plan on doing a trip for six years, and it finally comes to fruition, it's a little overwhelming. I kinda wish I had at least one more chance to ski before I head out, but I think spending it in the mountains of Chiang Mai will more than make up for it.
My flight leaves at 8 am tomorrow from Calgary to Vancouver. After that, it's an 11 hour flight to Beijing, followed by five hours to Bangkok with the final arrival time of 12am Feb 28. Writing that is absolutely crazy and exhilarating; two days and I will be across the world. After one night in New Siam 1 (hotel), followed by a night on Khao San road, we'll be taking a night train up the next day to begin the northern part of this awesome adventure.
I plan on keeping up with this, but no guarantees. I also plan on taking lots of pictures! Hopefully can get a few posted here. Feel free to email me with questions :D
