I am working at Advance Financial Network. It is basically a website company that just happens to post financial information. I am actually really surpised that I am not treated as an intern...it's a very good thing, cuz all of my friends have been doing laundry, vacuming, and making tea! The first day I was told to do some research on this thing called 'Spread Betting.' Now I am writing an article about being a newcomer to Spread Betting. :) I am also working on two other projects where I am setting up interviews with spread betting profesionals and i will write an article abou them; and I am getting ready to start trading stock between the London financial markets and the US stock markets. The first week was a little long and hard to get through because almost all of my time was spent at a computer researching. I was only getting up from the computer to go to the bath room, get a glass of water, or make some tea. I was getting really antzy after that first week, but now I am doing great with all of my projects! I am really enjoying the people I am working with. There are really only 2 girls that I have contact with in the office, the rest are older men. Everyone jokes around with me like I actually work there and they try to include me in most everything, like going to lunch. Speaking of lunch, on the first day of work, my 2 bosses and a co-worker took me out to lunch. We had a bottle of wine at lunch, it was so weird, but I loved it! I will keep you updated on any changes, good or bad... but right now I am really liking it!!!!
